Fairest of All: A Tale of the Wicked Queen by Serena Valentino |Review

6124802This is good stuff. I enjoyed reading this.

I love all the different takes and perspectives of classic stories. I’m all for a fun re-write. I also really like the covers in this series.

I can’t wait to read the next ones!

Mermaids: The Myths, Legends and Lore by Skye Alexander |Review

1440538573This book is really pretty. I love the cover, love the illustrations and even love that all the font is a really pretty blue colour. What I don’t like is how repetitive it is.

There is some interesting information and I really enjoyed reading it, but I’m assuming there wasn’t enough information available for a whole book and so the author reiterates the same facts over and over. Which is fine for a high-school essay, it’s not fine for a book.

The $1000 Challenge by Brian J. O’Conner |Review

17707595 This book is good if you’re middle aged, middle class, American, own a house, boats, children, go on holiday and make a lot of money.

This book is not good, if you’re an average person living pay-check to pay-check.

Skip this, it’s not worth it. It only cost me a dollar so I’m not too upset by it. I just wasted my time reading it. Half the book you can skip if you don’t have kids or a house.

Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody |Review

30237061 I really really liked this book.

It’s different and unique. I loved the backdrop of a travelling circus and the characters were different and weird and I liked that. I like that there’s humour and romance and death and candy!

The end got me, I was not expecting it. So that’s pretty sweet. Sometimes the twists are predictable , but I can honestly say, I didn’t see it coming.

And as a bonus, the cover art is really pretty too. Totally would recommend this.
