Got myself a wee tattoo a week ago. It’s not a Beauty and the Beast tattoo, although I know how much it looks like one. I do love BatB but this is just a I love books tattoo. I love it!

The Princess Diarist by Carrie Fisher| Review

imageI’ve been wanting to read Carrie Fisher’s books for a long time, but just never got around to it. I saw this book at work and just impulse buy-ed all over it. She’s so great.

This is the last book she wrote before she died and it has diary entries from when she film the first Star Wars film. I was expecting a lot more Star Wars talk in this book. It’s not bad though. It explains a lot and puts a lot of things in perspective. She talks about things she never talked about before. The big thing being her relationship with Harrison Ford.

The book starts and ends with essay like chapters of her past and present, and the centre is filled with diary entries and poetry. The poetry is rather sad. I feel sorry for her. They show pain and sadness and frustration. She was incredibly young to be going through what she went through.

Leia was a great role model and I’ve always loved her. I hope I can get my hands on more of her books.

4/5 on Goodreads.

Lose Me. by M.C. Frank|Review

imageLose Me. is the fifth M.C. Frank novel I have read and I have really enjoyed each one of them. I was so glad to be sent an ARC of Lose Me.

I love the odd romance every now and then, and it was set in Greece! One of my favourite places. (I’ve never actually been). So the story had a beautiful back drop. I gave this novel 4/5 on Goodreads and my review on there is pretty pathetic. There are some true statements though. It’s definitely a roller coaster of emotions. There is so much going on. One minute your mad, the next your sad and then you’re cracking up. I was so torn on how I felt about certain characters. I just wanted everyone to be happy.

Lose Me. is definitely worth a read, as well as her other novels. There’s a lot of potential and great characters. The covers are always gorgeous too. I’mΒ a sucker for a good cover.
