I have always been a huge fan of Batman. As a child I watched the films constantly, and as I got older I started to read comics and embrace the amazing-ness that is Adam West.
I found my copy of Year One at a Goodwill bookstore in London, which was pretty sweet. I like the cover design, and the illustrations are great. The story takes place near the beginning of the timeline. Commissioner Gordon is new on the scene and Batman is dealing with his parents deaths (as always). He’s having a hard time. Poor guy.
I gave this 5/5 on Goodreads because of my deep love for Batman. It probably isn’t the best story out there compared to what is available, but I did really enjoy it.
